Jammu: The Border Security Force (BSF) Jammu Frontier confirmed on Saturday that it had “completely destroyed” a terrorist launchpad in Sialkot district in Pakistan, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The Jammu Frontier BSF spokesman on Saturday said that on May 9, from about 9pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked firing on BSF posts in the Jammu Sector.
The launchpad at Looni, reportedly used to facilitate infiltration and cross-border attacks, was eliminated in a precision strike late Friday night, said BSF official.
"BSF responded in a commensurate manner, causing widespread damage to the posts and assets of the Pakistan Rangers along the International border," he said.

The official further said, "Our resolve to protect India's sovereignty is unshaken."
The Border Security Force on last thursday night foiled a major infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in Samba sector.
Amid heavy shelling and heightened tension between India and Pakistan, the troops of Border Security Force foiled an infiltration bid from across the border in Samba sector of Jammu.
"The BSF late night on Thursday foiled a major infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in Samba sector," said an official.
Meanwhile BSF posted on X, "The BSF observed infiltration by the terrorists along the IB in Samba sector at 11 PM tonight and challenged them.
The infiltration attempt was foiled, the BSF Jammu."
Official sources said that some terrorists are also believed to be killed in the intrusion attempt.
Just yesterday night, India has foiled Pakistan failed missile attack attempts by retaliating, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The Indian Army carried out drone attacks on Lahore and Sialkot of Pakistan and destroyed the AWACS air defense system there.
Earlier, Pakistan had tried to carry out drone attacks in some areas of Jammu, Rajasthan and Punjab, but India's air defense system neutralized them.
India has also shot down Pakistani fighter jets. India's counter drone system and S-400 missile defense intercepted Pakistan's missiles.
Apart from this, the Indian Army shot down two JF-17 and one F-16 fighter jets of Pakistan, which were trying to enter the Indian border.
Amidst all this development, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the situation.
Electricity has been restored in Jammu, although there was a blackout for some time in some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
