Bengaluru: Member of Parliament Lahar Singh Siroya attended an inter-faith event at Amit Hall, Gurudwara Ulsoor, as the Chief Guest to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

Siroya paid rich homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur, calling his supreme sacrifice and steadfast courage an eternal symbol of India’s civilisational strength and moral leadership. He said India’s harmony in diversity is the nation’s backbone.

Emphasizing India’s unity in diversity, the MP said that communal harmony forms the backbone of the nation’s identity. He also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, stating that inclusive development is now reaching every citizen without discrimination, strengthening social cohesion and national progress.

The inter-faith gathering saw participation from several prominent figures, including Nisar Ahmed, Chairman of the Karnataka State Minority Commission; Reverend Dr Thomas; President Prithpal Singh Bhatia, Dr Harminder Singh, Mandhir Singh, and Jasbir Singh Dhody of Sri Guru Singh Sabha.

The event underscored the Guru’s universal message of sacrifice, unity, and peace, bringing together community leaders and faith representatives in a shared tribute.
