Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra is set to witness a deeply patriotic moment as Member of Parliament Naveen Jindal honours Kargil War veterans, Veer Naris, and distinguished serving and retired armed forces officers.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the felicitation ceremony, organised by the Naveen Jindal Foundation, will take place at RK Sadan, Kurukshetra University, on February 20, 2026. Members of the media have been invited to cover the significant event.

The ceremony marks the arrival of the Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan Yatra in Kurukshetra, a historic city known for its cultural and spiritual importance. The event aims to recognise the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of India’s soldiers and their families.

Celebrating 200 Years of the Regiment of Artillery

The Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan Yatra was flagged off from Dwarka on February 3 and is being led by the Indian Army’s Regiment of Artillery in coordination with the Indian Navy and the Border Security Force. The yatra commemorates 200 years of the Regiment of Artillery, one of the Indian Army’s most decorated arms.

Covering more than 3,400 kilometres across India’s western frontier through Gujarat and Rajasthan, the journey symbolises national unity and respect for the armed forces. After reaching Kurukshetra on February 20, the yatra will conclude at the National War Museum in Delhi, marking the culmination of a powerful tribute to India’s military legacy.

Focus on Tiranga Renewal Campaign

During the ceremony, MP Naveen Jindal will also highlight the Tiranga Renewal Campaign, an initiative promoting the dignified recycling of the National Flag in accordance with the Flag Code of India. The campaign encourages citizens to treat the Tiranga with respect even after it has served its purpose.

Notably, Naveen Jindal played a landmark role in securing the right of every Indian citizen to hoist the National Flag through a historic legal battle. He continues to advocate for national pride by supporting the installation of monumental flags and launching civic initiatives that promote awareness about the dignity of the Tiranga.

Distinguished Dignitaries and Patriotic Performances

The ceremony will be attended by Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Somnath Sachdeva, Major General Arvind Yadav, Colonel Ashwin, and Major General (Retd.) Ashim Kohli, CEO of the Flag Foundation of India. Senior military officers, along with NCC and NSS cadets, are also expected to participate.

A special patriotic performance by a military band will add to the solemn and celebratory atmosphere of the occasion. The event seeks to inspire young people by reinforcing the values of discipline, patriotism, and national unity.
