CRPF personnel arrested in Delhi by NIA
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan from Delhi in a major action.
There are serious allegations against the jawan that he was sending sensitive and intelligence information related to India to Pakistan. He used social media platforms for this, and he was also getting a hefty amount in return.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, this arrest has come at a time when, after 'Operation Sindoor,' the network spying for Pakistani agencies across the country is being continuously tightened.
Recently, YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra was also arrested on similar charges. She also came in contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media, and she used to get money in exchange for giving intelligence information.
Contact was made through social media
According to NIA sources, the arrested jawan came in contact with an operative of Pakistan's intelligence agency through social media.
Gradually he started sharing information related to the security of the country. All these activities came under the purview of digital tracking, and it was revealed in the NIA investigation.
The agency has started questioning the jawan, and so far much important information has come to light.
The CRPF sacked the jawan
After the arrest, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) dismissed the accused jawan from service with immediate effect. A senior CRPF official confirmed that such treasonous acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The accused jawan had shared important documents and security-related information several times with his handlers in Pakistan.
Action against spies intensified after Operation Sindoor
'Operation Sindoor' was a major retaliatory action by India that was carried out in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Under this operation, India demolished many terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). After this, an attempt was made by Pakistan to attack many cities of India, but the Indian Army foiled it.
Ultimately, Pakistan was forced to cease fire. After this operation, a major action was started against the Pakistan-backed espionage network in India. So far, many spies have been caught; the most popular name among them is that of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra.
It is alleged that she came in contact with Pakistani intelligence agencies through the Pakistan High Commission and was involved in sending intelligence related to the country.
NIA investigation continues
At present, the NIA is continuously interrogating the arrested jawan, and more arrests can be made in this case. The agency is trying to find out who else was in contact with the accused. Is this a big network?
