New Delhi: North India is in the grip of intense heat these days, due to which people are getting badly affected. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday, while morning humidity was 67 percent, which made the heat more unbearable.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed no possibility of relief from the scorching heat in North India for the next two days. At the same time, a summer red alert has been issued in many districts of Haryana and Punjab, and an orange alert is applicable in 11 districts of western Uttar Pradesh and Bundelkhand.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the Meteorological Department has expected a decrease in temperature from 14 June regarding Delhi-NCR. In such a situation, the maximum temperature may fall to 41 degrees in the next two days. It is being told that the weather can be seen softening between 15 and 18 June, in which partial clouds and light rain can be seen.

In many cities of Uttar Pradesh, the heatwaves have disturbed people. Temperatures in cities like Jhansi, Agra, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, and Sultanpur hovered around 45 degrees. Orange alerts continue in Gaziabad and Noida, including Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, and Jhansi.
Apart from this, a yellow alert has been implemented in Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Hamirpur, Mahoba, and Lalitpur.
Summer havoc in Jammu too
Summer continues to wreak havoc in the Jammu region as well. Where the temperature at six banks like Samba, Jammu, Kathua, Ramban, Udhampur, and Reasi remains above 40 degrees. The temperature in Kathua reached 43.6 degrees. The temperature was recorded at 47.8 degrees in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. The temperature in Colombia, Haryana, also reached 47.4 degrees.
Monsoon intensifies in South India
On the other hand, the monsoon in South India has again gained momentum. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has become active again after two weeks of slowdown. Heavy rains have been recorded in many parts of Karnataka, and heavy rains are expected in the entire state until 17 June.
At the same time, a red alert has been issued in Kerala in view of heavy rains from 14 to 16 June. People are being advised to take precautions in this scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has advised drinking enough water to avoid heat, wearing light clothes, and avoiding going out in the afternoon. This summer phase in North India may still disturb a few more days.
