New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has once again demonstrated its strategic capability and determination by carrying out a major action against terrorism in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Under this operation named 'Operation Sindoor', the IAF carried out precision missile attacks on 9 major terrorist hideouts in the early morning.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, modern Rafale fighter jets were used in these attacks, from which SCALP and HAMMER missiles were launched. These attacks were carried out targeting the hideouts of terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, including the main base in Bahawalpur.

Preparation for operation in 14 days

The reason for this strict military action was the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, in which 26 innocent civilians lost their lives. Within just 14 days, the Indian Air Force carried out Operation Sindoor by making a precise strategy. This operation was not only a befitting reply to the terrorists, but also a message that now no attempt of terrorism will be tolerated.

SCALP missile

SCALP, also known as Storm Shadow, is a long-range air-launched cruise missile. It is specially designed to attack the enemy's secure and important targets. This missile, weighing about 1300 kg, has been made by the European defense company MBDA. SCALP has a range of up to 500 kilometers and it hits the target with great accuracy.

This missile has already been successfully used in Iraq, Syria and Ukraine. Its design is such that it does not come under the radar of the enemy and also destroys deeply hidden bunkers and tunnels. It can be launched from modern fighter jets like Rafale and Eurofighter, giving the Indian Air Force a strategic edge.

HAMMER missile

The HAMMER (Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range) missile is manufactured by Safran Electronics & Defense of France. It is a multi-purpose missile that works with GPS, infrared and laser guidance systems due to its modular design. Its specialty is that it can accurately strike not only static targets but also moving targets.

The range of HAMMER is about 60 to 70 kilometers and its light weight makes it extremely agile. In Operation Sindoor, it was used on the targets which were being moved by the terrorists, due to which the Indian Air Force rooted them out.

Kamikaze Drone

The Indian Air Force also used kamikaze drones in Operation Sindoor. These are special types of drones that accurately detect enemy targets while monitoring the sky. If necessary, they can directly attack the target. Kamikaze drones are either remotely operated or work in autonomous mode. Their high speed and high technical capability played an important role in the success of the operation.

Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor proved that India will no longer show any leniency against terrorism. Using modern missile technologies like SCALP and HAMMER, the Indian Air Force destroyed the strongholds of terrorists. This operation is a clear message that now any terrorist activity will be answered with strong and decisive action.
