Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A couple from Maharashtra can't thank their stars enough as they had left the terror-affected site in Pahalgam just a few minutes before the tragedy struck and got saved by a whisker.
The family was about to go out to visit local tourist places, but the alertness of the hotel owner and staff stopped them in time. This alertness proved helpful in saving their lives.
Hotel Staff Stopped Them
Buldhana resident Nilesh Jain said that he was on a trip to Kashmir with four other members of his family. After seeing Sonamarg, Gulmarg and Srinagar, they stayed at a hotel in Pahalgam on Tuesday.
He said that we were preparing to go out in the afternoon, when the hotel owner and staff said that there was firing outside. We immediately decided not to go out.
Appeal To The Government
Nilesh Jain said that after the attack, he does not want to continue the journey and he has requested the government to make arrangements for his safe return home.
Arun Jain, brother of journalist Nilesh in Buldhana, said that Nilesh's wife, two children and a niece were also with him in this journey. Everyone was in Pahalgam on 21 and 22 April, when this attack happened.
