New Delhi: Monsoon activity remains active across several parts of India, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds in multiple states. Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Odisha and several other regions are likely to witness changing weather conditions.
The weather department has advised people to remain cautious as heavy showers and thunderstorms may affect normal life in some areas.
Delhi-NCR is expected to witness cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall on Sunday. The temperature is likely to remain between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius, providing relief from humidity.
However, continuous rainfall may lead to waterlogging in some low-lying areas and impact traffic movement across parts of the national capital region.
Several parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan may experience rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Weather conditions are expected to remain unstable due to ongoing monsoon activity.
People travelling on roads have been advised to exercise caution, especially during heavy rain and storm conditions.
Eastern and central parts of the country are also likely to see changes in weather patterns. Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh may receive rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms.
Some areas could experience intense showers and gusty winds, according to weather forecasts.
Maharashtra, Odisha and coastal regions are likely to continue receiving rainfall due to active monsoon conditions. Heavy showers in some areas may disrupt daily activities and affect local transportation.
The IMD has advised residents to follow weather updates and take necessary precautions during severe weather events.
During thunderstorms and lightning, people are advised to stay away from open areas, trees and weak structures. Authorities have also urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during extreme weather conditions and monitor local forecasts for updates.
