Rejecting the Opposition's Allegations

Speaking to the media outside Parliament, Scindia dismissed the opposition's allegations of increased surveillance and monitoring as baseless. He said, "There is no mechanism that unauthorizedly tracks a user's personal information. The app is solely for user safety. The opposition is unnecessarily politicizing the issue."

Scindia clarified that deleting the app is as easy as deleting any other app. He said, "If you don't need the app, delete it. It's completely optional."

Citizen Safety and Fraud Prevention

Scindia said that millions of people have been saved from fraud over the past year through the Sanchar Saathi app. He said that this app is a tool for citizen safety, not surveillance. "Our aim is to ensure that this facility reaches everyone and people are protected from fraud."

He stated that the app fully respects users' privacy and does not collect or monitor any unnecessary data.

Targeting the Opposition

The app's sole purpose is security. Those who are feeling apprehensive about it should understand that deleting it completely is a personal choice."

Scindia clarified that the Sanchar Saathi app is not mandatory for any citizen and can be used or deleted in an alternative way. He stated that the opposition's allegations are merely political and that the app's primary purpose is to keep the public safe and prevent fraud.
