UP Government Reshuffles IAS Officers to Strengthen Administration

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step to make the state's administrative system more robust, efficient, and effective. In this regard, an order has been issued regarding the transfers and new appointments of several senior IAS officers.

Under this administrative reshuffle, experienced officers have been given new responsibilities in the Tourism Department, State Human Rights Commission, State Information Commission, and other important departments to further improve the efficiency of governance and administration.

Major Changes in Tourism Department and Commissions

According to the issued order, IAS officer Rajesh Kumar-2, who was previously the Director General of Tourism in Uttar Pradesh, has been given a new responsibility.

He has been appointed as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission. After leading an important and active department like tourism, he will now utilize his administrative experience and decision-making abilities in the Human Rights Commission.

It is believed that his appointment will accelerate the commission's work and increase transparency and effectiveness in resolving human rights-related cases.

Vedpati Mishra Takes Charge of Tourism

Dr. Vedpati Mishra, Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh State Information Commission, has been appointed as the new Director General of Tourism for the state.

During his tenure at the Information Commission, he made significant contributions to matters related to the Right to Information and strengthened administrative transparency.

Now, after taking charge of the Tourism Department, he is expected to present Uttar Pradesh's cultural, religious, and historical heritage to the country and the world in a more effective manner. Under his leadership, tourism in the state is likely to receive new direction and momentum.

Kumar Prashant from Waiting List Given Important Responsibility

The administrative order also mentions that IAS officer Kumar Prashant, who was on the waiting list, has been appointed as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Information Commission.

This appointment will fill a long-vacant position in the commission. It is also expected to expedite the resolution of information-related cases and provide timely relief to citizens.

Secretary Pranjal Yadav Relieved of Additional Charge

In this reshuffle, Secretary Pranjal Yadav has also been given significant relief. He has been relieved of the additional charges of the Handloom and Textile Industry, Khadi and Village Industries, and Infrastructure and Industrial Development departments.

He will now serve only as the secretary of his original department—Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Export Promotion. This will allow him to focus better on his departmental responsibilities and accelerate the effective implementation of schemes.
