UP receives Rs 1 lakh crore investment proposals from Singapore: CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has secured investment proposals worth nearly ₹1 lakh crore from Singapore-based companies during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s official visit to the Southeast Asian nation.

According to the state government, agreements and discussions held during the two-day engagement resulted in Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth approximately ₹60,000 crore. The visit is aimed at strengthening economic partnerships and attracting global investments into the state’s key sectors.

Visit Focused on Expanding Economic Cooperation

The Chief Minister is on an official trip to Singapore from February 22 to 24 to deepen cooperation in trade, infrastructure, technology and industrial development.

During the visit, he interacted with industry leaders and corporate representatives to present Uttar Pradesh as a major investment destination. Officials said the discussions also focused on building long-term partnerships and boosting investor confidence.

Adityanath also visited a globally recognised skill development centre in Singapore to study workforce training models. The Uttar Pradesh government is exploring the possibility of implementing similar employment-oriented training systems in the state.

Major Aviation Investment At Jewar Airport

A significant development during the visit was an investment agreement in the aviation sector linked to the upcoming Noida International Airport. Aviation services company AISATS signed an MoU with the Uttar Pradesh government to invest around ₹4,458 crore in airport infrastructure.

The project includes the development of a modern cargo terminal and a large air catering facility. The catering unit is expected to serve flights operating from Jewar airport and supply meals to other airports across North India, helping establish the region as an aviation services hub.

Collaboration In Logistics And Data Infrastructure

During the visit, discussions were also held with senior leadership of SATS Ltd to develop a world-class cargo complex at the airport and establish a Taj SATS air catering kitchen.

The Chief Minister also interacted with representatives from ST Telemedia Global Data Centres to explore opportunities in hyperscale data centres and digital infrastructure.

Talks focused on strengthening cooperation in information technology, logistics networks, industrial development and sustainable technology investments. These sectors are seen as crucial for supporting the state’s growing economy and improving its global competitiveness.

Strengthening Global Investment Partnerships

As part of the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed advanced air cargo handling systems and supply chain technologies at Singapore’s airport logistics facilities. Officials said such models could help improve logistics infrastructure and trade efficiency in Uttar Pradesh.

The Singapore visit is part of a broader effort by the state government to attract international investors and expand partnerships across sectors such as aviation, technology, logistics and manufacturing.
