Lucknow: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from the Ashiyana area of Lucknow, where a 17-year-old teenager allegedly shot dead his 49-year-old father. According to the police, after the murder, the accused tried to cut the body into pieces and dispose of them in different places. On Monday, the police took him into custody and disclosed the matter.

How did the dispute and murder happen?

According to police investigation, the incident occurred around 4:30 am on February 20. It is being told that there was a heated argument between father and son regarding the NEET exam. The father wanted his son to study medicine and succeed in the examination, while the teenager was troubled by this pressure.

In a fit of anger, the accused fired at him with his father's licensed rifle kept on the third floor of the house. During investigation, a ricochet bullet has also been recovered from the room, which indicates that the firing was done from close range. The rifle and the recovered bullet have been sent for forensic examination.

Conspiracy to dismember the dead body and hide it

After the murder, the accused dragged the body down from the third floor and brought it to the ground floor. There he allegedly cut the body into several pieces so that evidence could be destroyed and they could be disposed of easily.

He kept some body parts in the car and threw them in Sadrauna on the outskirts of the city. According to police, the head has not been recovered yet. The rest of the torso was stuffed into a blue plastic drum and hidden inside the house, with plans to dispose of it later.

Attempt to mislead the police

To avoid suspicion, the accused himself lodged a missing report of his father. But on Monday evening, when he was allegedly going to dispose of the remaining body parts, a police patrol stopped him in a suspicious condition.

According to DCP (Central Zone) Vikrant Veer, during interrogation, the statements of the accused were found contradictory. He confessed to the crime during strict interrogation. Police recovered the drum from his house, and the forensic team collected blood stains from the house and car. The search for the remaining body parts is going on in the Sadrauna area.

Family Background and Investigation

The deceased was originally a resident of Jalaun district and ran a pathology lab. His wife passed away nine years ago. The family consists of a daughter (a class 11 student) and an elder son, who is posted in the Uttar Pradesh Police. The accused used to get Rs 17,000 every month for managing his father's liquor shop, but he is said to be dissatisfied.

The police are piecing together the entire incident and investigating the exact reason and mental condition. This incident raises serious questions not only about family pressure but also about the increasing academic stress on the youth.
