New Delhi: The national capital is likely to witness very light to light rainfall at isolated places on Sunday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The showers may provide some relief from the humid weather conditions prevailing across Delhi.
The weather department has forecast surface winds of 20-30 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 40 kmph in some areas. Residents have been advised to remain cautious during sudden spells of rain and strong winds, particularly while travelling.
Although brief showers are expected, the IMD has not predicted any major weather disruption in Delhi on Sunday. The sky is likely to remain partly cloudy, with isolated rainfall activity during the day.
However, low-lying roads and areas with poor drainage could witness temporary waterlogging if the showers turn intense.
The national capital may continue to receive very light to light rain on Monday. Weather conditions are expected to remain humid, with cloudy skies and occasional rainfall across parts of the city.

Rain activity is likely to increase during the middle of the week. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Tuesday and Wednesday, when Delhi could receive moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
The forecast suggests that the national capital may continue to experience intermittent rain over the next five days.
Parts of Delhi received scattered rainfall on Saturday and during the preceding night. The showers brought temporary relief from the heat but also increased humidity in several areas. Authorities have advised commuters to check traffic conditions and remain alert as changing weather could affect road movement.
