Western Disturbance to Trigger Storms and Hail in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: The weather in Uttar Pradesh has taken a turn once again. Due to the influence of a western disturbance, many parts of the state are experiencing sudden changes in the weather. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds are expected in more than 30 districts over the next 48 hours. Wind speeds could reach 50 kilometers per hour in many areas. A warning has also been issued for thunderstorms and lightning.
The Meteorological Department says that due to an active western disturbance, the weather in northern and eastern Uttar Pradesh has become unstable. Cloudy skies, strong winds, and light to moderate rain are expected in many districts. This change in weather may also cause a drop in temperatures in many parts of the state.
Many major cities in the state may experience different weather patterns on March 16th.
Noida: The maximum temperature here is expected to be around 27°C and the minimum 17°C. The sky will remain mostly clear, with a slight chill in the morning and evening.
Lucknow: The sky in the capital is expected to be partly cloudy, with a possibility of light rain and thundershowers later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 31°C and the minimum 18°C.
Kanpur: The weather here will be relatively clear, with a maximum temperature around 33°C. Mild heat is expected during the day and a slight chill in the morning and evening.
Ayodhya: Cloudy skies with light rain or thunderstorms are expected here. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 35°C and the minimum 19°C.
Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms with strong winds are expected in several districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur. Hailstorms are also possible in some areas, prompting farmers and the public to exercise caution.
According to the Meteorological Department, the changed weather in the state is expected to persist until March 16th and 17th. After this, temperatures are expected to rise again. However, another western disturbance is expected to become active from March 19th, which could lead to a new round of rain by March 21st.
At present, the Meteorological Department has appealed to the public to remain vigilant in view of the possibility of strong winds, lightning, and hailstorms.
