IMD issues 'extremely heavy rain' alert for Delhi-NCR
Delhi: It is raining continuously in many parts of the country. The roads are filled with rain.
There is flood in many places and many states of the country are in the grip of floods for many days.
Heavy to very heavy rains are forecast from Delhi-NCR, West Bengal, Odisha, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh.
Monsoon is strong in different parts of the country. The monsoon has got further strength due to the continuous formation of new systems in the Bay of Bengal. Its effect is also being seen in Delhi-NCR.
Rain started in the country's capital Delhi and surrounding areas late on Wednesday evening.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), this trend will continue on Thursday 31 July 2025 as well. Due to rain with stronger than normal winds, the temperature has dropped by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday, Delhi's maximum temperature is likely to be 31 and the minimum temperature is likely to be 24 degrees Celsius.
Heavy rains are also expected in many districts of Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. A red alert has been issued for torrential rains in some parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
