New Delhi: The second Test of the two-match series between India and the West Indies is underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, with today marking the third day of Match. The spotlight is on the Indian bowlers as they look to wrap up the West Indies innings swiftly and enforce the follow-on a scenario the visitors will be desperate to avoid.

India Has A Strong Position

The India established a strong position by declaring its first innings at a mammoth 518/5, thanks to centuries from Shubman Gill (129 not out) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (175). Useful contributions from Dhruv Jurel (44) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (43) further strengthened India's grip on the match.

Jadeja Took 3 Wickets

At stumps on the second day, West Indies were 140/4, still trailing by 378 runs. Tegnarine Chanderpaul (34) and Alick Athanaze (41) struggled for a while, but India's spinners, especially Ravindra Jadeja, consistently took wickets at crucial moments despite the relatively flat pitch. Jadeja finished the day with three wickets.

West Indies' Poor Start

The second day began disappointingly for the West Indies. Opener John Campbell was dismissed for just 10 runs, leaving the team with 21 runs to lose its first wicket. Tagnarine Chanderpaul and Alick Athanase then steadied the innings with a 66-run partnership.
