New Delhi: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez tied the knot in a private ceremony, but a special financial arrangement in their marriage has caught attention. The couple is said to have opted for a “separation of property” regime, ensuring independent control over their personal wealth.
According to reports, the arrangement means Ronaldo and Georgina will continue to own and manage their individual assets, earnings and investments separately.
Under this arrangement, assets owned before or acquired during the marriage generally remain the property of the individual who purchased them.
This means Ronaldo’s earnings from his football contracts, endorsements and business ventures would remain under his ownership. His income from Al-Nassr and ventures linked to the CR7 brand would reportedly continue to be controlled by him. Similarly, Georgina Rodriguez would retain ownership and control over her own earnings and assets.
Reports claim that the marriage agreement also includes specific financial provisions in case the couple decides to part ways in the future.
According to Portuguese media reports, Georgina could receive a monthly allowance of around €100,000 (approximately Rs 1.10 crore) and retain ownership of their luxury Madrid mansion in La Finca, reportedly valued at over $5.6 million. However, details of the reported clauses have not been officially confirmed by Ronaldo or Georgina.
Ronaldo and Georgina reportedly exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members and friends.
The couple’s five children were also said to be present at the wedding. Unlike many celebrity weddings, the football superstar and Georgina kept the event away from media attention.
