The candidates are Arshad Ahmed Siddique from Dhaurara, Nakul Dubey from Sitapur, C L Verma from Mohanlalganj (reserved), Sukhdeo Prasad from Fatehpur and Chandra Deo Yadav from Kaiserganj. BSP workers had opposed the candidature of Nakul Dubey from Sitapur for being an outsider, as the leader, a former UP minister, hails from Lucknow.

BSP had released the names of 11 candidates in their first list on March 22 and six candidates in the second list announced on April 1.(UNI)
