Opposition bloc INDIA meeting underway in Delhi; Congress forms National Alliance Committee

New Delhi: The Opposition bloc 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance' (INDIA), formed to jointly fight the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, is holding a meeting in Delhi today. Many opposition leaders have arrived for the meeting. 

Just before the meeting of INDIA bloc, the main opposition party Congress has formed a 5-member committee for the Lok Sabha elections. This committee has been named National Alliance Committee (NAC).

 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the NAC includes Bhupesh Baghel, Mukul Wasnik- Convener, Salman Khurshid, Mohan Prakash and Ashok Gehlot.

Meanwhile, the meeting of prominent leaders of opposition constituent parties has started in Delhi. In this meeting, many issues including seat distribution, joint public meetings and making a new strategy for the Lok Sabha elections will be discussed.

The meeting of INDIA is taking place in the backdrop of poor performance of Congress in the recently concluded assembly elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
