Gautam Gambhir defers future to BCCI; Says team comes before self
Under the tenure of Gautam Gambhir as head coach, India has lost five of the last seven home Tests and 10 of the 19 matches played so far. When Gautam Gambhir appeared at the press conference after the 408-run defeat in the Guwahati Test, he was asked whether he was still the best choice for the team. Gambhir replied that the BCCI would decide. “When I took over, I said, ‘Indian cricket is important, not me.’ I still stand by that.”
