Her remarks come just hours before Putin’s scheduled arrival in New Delhi, triggering heightened political discussion across the country.

He will proceed to the Prime Minister’s Residence for a high-level bilateral meeting with PM Narendra Modi. The high-stakes visit is being viewed as strategically significant and has intensified political movements in the national capital.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi told the media that the government does not want a meeting between the Leader of Opposition and the Russian President, calling it concerning for democratic norms. Priyanka Gandhi echoed the worry, alleging deliberate avoidance of diplomatic engagement with the Opposition.
