Agra: Rescue operations continued for the third consecutive day on Friday to trace 60-year-old Ganga Devi, who went missing after a two-storey garment shop built over a drain collapsed in Agra's Subhash Bazaar.
Five people trapped under the debris were rescued shortly after the incident, while Ganga Devi is suspected to have been swept away by the drain amid heavy rainfall and falling debris.

Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire Department, Uttar Pradesh Police and the Municipal Corporation are conducting an intensive search operation. Excavators were deployed to remove debris from the drain, and rescue personnel searched nearly a one-kilometre stretch from the collapse site to the point where the drain joins the Yamuna River.
With no breakthrough in the search, the woman's family staged a protest and opposed the reopening of the market. Police intervened and restored normalcy. The rescue operation remains underway under the supervision of district authorities.
