New Delhi: A Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant is expected to hear three petitions related to the alleged theft and misappropriation of donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on July 13.

The police investigation has so far led to the arrest of eight people allegedly connected with the donation-counting system.
Investigators have conducted searches at the homes of several accused and recovered cash, gold jewellery and a car. Police have also frozen 15 bank accounts linked to relatives and associates of the accused as part of efforts to trace the alleged proceeds of the theft.
Authorities are examining bank statements, digital payments, property transactions and stock-market investments to determine whether the allegedly stolen donations were routed through multiple accounts or converted into other assets.
Amid the controversy, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has undergone a leadership reshuffle.
The Trust accepted the resignations of general secretary Champat Rai and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appointed Bajrang Lal Bagra as its new General Secretary, marking a significant leadership change.
Authorities had recovered nearly ₹80 lakh from arrested suspects by early July, while the temple had received donations worth several hundred crore rupees by March 31, according to reported figures.
