Lucknow: There is great news for 2 crore farmers of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has started a big scheme with the aim of strengthening the farmers financially. The government claims that the farmers of the state will get a big benefit from this scheme.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, more than 2.5 crore farmers do farming in Uttar Pradesh. A target has been set to connect at least two crore farmers of Uttar Pradesh with this scheme.

Good price for crops to farmers

According to the information, the government has taken a new initiative to increase the income of farmers and strengthen the agricultural economy of the state. The government has started a big project to promote the cultivation of maize and potatoes, which has been named 'Public-Private Partnership Agricultural Value Chain Development Project'. Under this scheme, the government and private companies will work together, which will make the post-farming process such as storage, grading, processing and sale easier and better. This will help farmers get a good price for their crops and reduce wastage.

Purchase of 25 thousand tonnes of maize every year

The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an agreement with the country's leading agritech company 'Ninjakart' to promote maize cultivation. This company will purchase 25 thousand tonnes of maize every year from more than 10 thousand farmers in 5 districts of Uttar Pradesh. This maize will be sent to ethanol-making factories, which will also strengthen India's green energy goal.

Provide facility to send abroad

An agreement has been signed with a foreign company Agristo Masa to promote potato cultivation and its processing. This company will provide facilities to farmers to grow better quality potatoes, process them and send them abroad. This will provide new markets and income opportunities to farmers, especially those from potato producing districts.
