Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big step to connect the education system of the state's madrasas with the modern and mainstream education system. Under the new decision of the government, now extensive changes will be made in the madrasa curriculum from class 9th to 12th.

The purpose of this change is to make madrasa students proficient in modern subjects along with traditional education. According to the Dynamite News correspondent, under the new rules, subjects like Hindi, English, science, and mathematics will be made compulsory. This will help madrasa students to be better prepared for competitive examinations and other career options.

Along with this, the state government is going to amend the UP Board of Madrasa Education Act 2004 so that, along with improving the curriculum, the quality of education can also be ensured.

Emphasis on strengthening the infrastructure of madrasas

The focus of the Yogi government is not only on changing the curriculum but also on strengthening the infrastructure of madrasas. For this, the government has directed that all recognized madrasas will have to provide minimum basic facilities for the students. These include adequate classrooms for studies, clean drinking water, a good library, furniture, and other educational resources.

Decision taken to digitize mark sheets

Apart from this, the government has also decided to digitize the mark sheets of all madrasa students. This will not only increase transparency but will also ensure easy online availability of their documents to the students.

Positive step in the education world

This decision of the state government is being considered a positive and visionary step in the education world. Officials say that this will provide proper educational opportunities to madrasa students like students of other schools.

Madrasa education gets a comprehensive form

This step of the government will affect about 16,000 recognized madrasas in the state. It is believed that this initiative will prove to be a major change in the direction of giving a comprehensive and inclusive form to madrasa education, instead of limiting it to the religious sphere only.

After the implementation of this decision, madrasa education will not only become more relevant but will also open the doors to more options for the future of the students.
