During his visit to Mainpuri, Samajwadi Party national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav launched a scathing attack on the central government, raising serious allegations on issues ranging from the cough syrup scam, Indigo flight cancellations, currency depreciation, and alleged constitutional violations.
Mainpuri: Samajwadi Party national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav arrived in Mainpuri on Sunday morning, where he strongly criticized the central government on multiple fronts. As part of the SIR program, he visited the Mainpuri Sadar constituency, holding meetings with party workers and office-bearers while instructing them to strengthen the party organization.
Yadav accused the government of trying to concentrate all wealth and power in the hands of a single individual. Highlighting the cancellation of several Indigo flights, he alleged that the move was part of a conspiracy to favor a specific company while weakening Indigo Airlines.
Addressing the cough syrup scandal, Yadav supported the remarks of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, calling the case a major fraud. He claimed that it involved a mafia figure from eastern Uttar Pradesh, a senior state official, and individuals close to the Chief Minister. According to him, the scam is worth not just hundreds, but thousands of crores, and a proper investigation could significantly impact the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh.

Yadav also made remarks regarding Mahatma Gandhi, claiming that some people are even refusing to recognize him as the Father of the Nation. On allegations of tampering with the Constitution, he warned that anyone acting against it would ultimately be erased from history. He further targeted the government over the fall of the rupee against the US dollar, saying that earlier, the issue was linked to the Prime Minister’s credibility, but now the government is making excuses to deflect responsibility.
