Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, while honouring Woman Grandmaster Divya Deshmukh with the Dynamite News Young India Country Award, described her achievements as a source of inspiration for the Nation.

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant conferred the Dynamite News Young India Country Award on woman chess grandmaster Divya Deshmukh, lauding her achievements and expressing confidence in her future success.
Addressing the gathering after presenting the award, the CJI said Divya’s journey was a matter of immense pride for the nation. “These children have brought great pride to the country. India is looking forward to your next achievement,” Justice Surya Kant remarked, underlining the growing impact of young achievers across disciplines.
Justice Surya Kant also complimented the Dynamite News Award Jury for identifying and honouring exceptional young talent from diverse fields. He noted that such platforms play a vital role in encouraging the next generation of leaders and achievers.
Senior IAS officer Sanjay Kothari, who was present on the occasion, praised Divya for her remarkable accomplishments in chess at a young age. He also acknowledged the role of her parents, Dr Namrata Deshmukh and Dr Jitendra Deshmukh, in supporting and motivating her pursuit of excellence.
Earlier in the event, Dynamite News Chairperson Rani Tibrewal welcomed the Chief Justice by presenting him with a bouquet. Dynamite News Editor-in-Chief Manoj Tibrewal Aakash expressed his gratitude to Justice Surya Kant for personally presenting the award and for encouraging young achievers through his words and presence.
After receiving the honour, Divya Deshmukh described the award as a significant boost at a crucial stage of her career. “It is a matter of great pride for me that the Dynamite News jury has selected me for this prestigious award. At this stage of my career, it will encourage me further,” she said.

Divya was selected by a four-member jury comprising Justice Ranjana Desai, Sanjay Kothari, Prof. Chinmay Pandya, and Dr M.C. Mishra. Along with Divya, the jury chose double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker and social entrepreneur Ruma Devi as recipients of the Dynamite News Young India Country Award.
Each award includes a citation, plaque, shawl, and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. The awards for Manu Bhaker and Ruma Devi were presented earlier by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, former CJI Dr D.Y. Chandrachud, and Supreme Court Judge Justice Rajesh Bindal.
