Criticism of Rahul Gandhi

Dinesh Pratap Singh accused Rahul Gandhi of failing to effectively raise issues concerning his constituencies - Amethi, Raebareli, and Wayanad - in Parliament. Referring to a recent letter sent to the District Magistrate of Lucknow, he said that a Leader of the Opposition should raise such matters with the Prime Minister or the concerned Union Minister.

Bold Claim on Raebareli Contest

Making a strong statement, Singh said, “If there is a direct contest with Rahul Gandhi in Raebareli, I will defeat him.” He added confidently, “I guarantee this.”

‘Chair Controversy’ Clarification

Addressing the alleged “small-large chair” controversy at the Raebareli Collectorate, Singh clarified that both chairs were of the same size but Rahul Gandhi may have felt uncomfortable due to his height.

On Smriti Irani's 2024 Defeat

Commenting on Smriti Irani’s loss in the 2024 elections, Singh attributed it to caste polarization. He stated that Irani was a leader closely connected with the people, but voters were misled.

Yogi Government: Achievements and Criticism

Praising the government led by Yogi Adityanath, Singh said that law and order in Uttar Pradesh has improved significantly, boosting investor confidence. He highlighted major improvements in infrastructure and claimed that corruption and favoritism in government jobs have reduced.

Responding to criticism that the government is not inclusive, Singh asserted that Yogi Adityanath is taking everyone along and that the government has remained stable for nine years.

Role of Legislature and Leadership

Singh emphasized that the legislature in Uttar Pradesh is strong and that decisions are made by elected representatives, not bureaucrats.

He also expressed loyalty to Amit Shah, stating that Shah brought him into politics and that he would remain committed to him.

Future Elections and BJP Strategy

On the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Singh said that victory is certain wherever Narendra Modi is involved. Regarding the 2029 general elections, he stated that people across the country want to see Modi as Prime Minister again.

Opposition and Political Dynamics

He acknowledged that Akhilesh Yadav’s PDA formula could pose challenges for the BJP but maintained that the party continues to focus on its core agenda of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” He also noted that the BSP is weakening due to what he described as the decline of opportunistic politics.

Discussing politics in his home district, Singh described his relationship with Akhilesh Singh as “strained.” On SP leader Manoj Pandey joining the BJP, he said that individuals with different ideologies can work together within the same party.
