Banda: Banda police has busted an inter-district vicious thief gang and arrested its five members. This gang used to commit thefts worth crores by cutting ATM machines. During the arrest, the police have recovered a large amount of illegal weapons, cash, vehicles and tools used in theft from them.

This success was achieved under the campaign being run on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police when the police received information through an informer that some suspicious persons were planning a major theft in the district.

Taking immediate action on the basis of the information, the police team arrested five people. During interrogation, it was revealed that all these accused are members of an inter-district ATM theft gang and have committed crimes in various districts.

The police have recovered two illegal pistols, seven live cartridges, a four-wheeler, Rs 13,194 in cash and equipment used to cut ATM machines from the arrested accused.
