Watch Video: Police lathi charge in Chandauli after family protests over youth death

Chandauli: There was a huge uproar on Monday at Kashiram Awas located in Bhogware under Mughalsarai police station of the district when injured youth Bhagat died due to lack of treatment. When the family members of the deceased were going towards the police station with the body, the police tried to take possession of the body midway, due to which the situation became tense, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

There was a heated argument between the family members and the police and soon the crowd started creating a ruckus. Seeing the situation going out of control, the police had to disperse the crowd by lathi charge.

Deceased Identification

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Bhagat, who used to support his family by doing labor. According to the information, about 10 days ago, Bhagat was attacked by three people when he was returning home after working as a laborer.
