Mahindra & Mahindra has confirmed updated versions of its Scorpio N and Thar 3-Door SUVs for 2026. While engine options will remain unchanged, both models are expected to receive refreshed styling, upgraded interiors, and modern features including larger infotainment screens and Level-2 ADAS.

New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has confirmed that it will launch updated versions of its two best-selling SUVs in 2026. The company hasn't officially revealed the model names, but leaked images and auto industry signals suggest these could be the Scorpio N facelift and the updated Thar 3-Door. Both models will retain the same engine setup, while the exterior and interior will see several minor and major changes.
Mahindra had planned to launch three ICE SUVs, two BEVs, and two LCVs. The XUV 7XO is ready, while updated versions of the Bolero and Bolero Neo are also said to be nearing completion. Additionally, two more updated models are expected in 2026. In the electric segment, the company is working on the XEV 9S and BE 6 Formula-E editions.

The updated Scorpio N is expected to feature a new slatted grille, revised air dams, front and rear bumpers, and new 5-spoke alloy wheels. The rear is expected to feature new LED taillamps. The cabin will feature a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, revised AC vent positions, a new center console, and a digital driver display.
Engine options will remain the same-a 203 bhp 2.0L turbo petrol and a 175 bhp 2.2L diesel. The 4X4 system will be available only on the diesel variant. A 'Da Vinci' damper is also expected.
The new Thar 3-Door's design is expected to be inspired by the Thar Rocks, featuring C-shaped DRLs, round LED headlamps, a new grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, and an updated taillamp signature. Features include ventilated seats, auto-folding ORVMs, auto climate control, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charging, and Level-2 ADAS.

The new Thar is expected to retain the existing engine lineup-a 152 bhp 2.0L turbo petrol, a 119 bhp 1.5L diesel, and a 132 bhp 2.2L diesel. The petrol variants will offer optional 4WD, while the more powerful diesel versions may offer standard 4WD.
Overall, Mahindra is preparing to strengthen its competitiveness in the market by introducing its popular SUV with new design, modern features and better technology in 2026.
