Patna: Tejashwi Yadav has made serious allegations regarding the draft voter list released by the Election Commission in Bihar. He has claimed that his name is also missing from the voter list, while the Booth Level Officer (BLO) had verified his documents.

Tejashwi raised this issue by holding a press conference in Patna and accused the Election Commission of deliberately removing the names of voters.

Tejashwi Yadav said that he had filled out the form to get his voter ID, and the BLO had also verified it, but his name is not in the draft list. He also said that if his name is not in the voter list, then how can his wife's name be included?

He questioned the transparency of the Election Commission in this whole matter and said that the Commission has deliberately hidden the booth numbers, addresses, and EPIC numbers of the voters so that it cannot be ascertained whose names have been removed.

Tejashwi claimed that about 65 lakh names (8.5%) have been deleted from the voter list of Bihar, which is a huge number. He asked whether so many voters were given notice before the names were removed or whether they got a chance to appeal.

He alleged that the Election Commission has become a "Godi Commission" and is working at the behest of the government. He also questioned that if the Election Commission has already decided who will form the government, then why is the drama of elections being done?

Besides this, Tejashwi, referring to the workers migrating from Bihar, said that every year about 3 crore people from the state go to other states for employment, but still the names are getting reduced in the voter list.

He asked whether physical verification of all these voters was done. He demanded the Election Commission make all the data public and said that if this is not done, it is a big threat to democracy.

Tejashwi Yadav also said in his speech that if his name is not in the voter list, then how will he contest the election, because it is mandatory to have a name in the voter list to contest the election?

Taking this matter seriously, he sought an answer from the Election Commission and said that if such irregularities continue, then a big question will be raised on the fairness of the elections in Bihar.
