Former SP of Maharajganj Somendra Meena and newly appointed SP Shakti Mohan Awasthy
Lucknow: A major administrative reshuffle was carried out in Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday, with the transfer of 27 IPS officers. The list includes one IG-rank officer and 26 SP-rank officers. Notably, Superintendents of Police (SPs) in 13 districts have been changed, handing over law and order responsibilities in several districts to new officers.
As part of the reshuffle, several officers have been reassigned to the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and other special units. The SPs of Bahraich and Rampur have been posted to PAC. Chandraprakash has been appointed as IG (Security). Rajesh Dwivedi has been made Commandant of PAC Aligarh, while Vidya Sagar Mishra has been given charge of PAC Sitapur.
Aditya Langhe has been appointed SP of Firozabad, while Ila Maran has been given charge as SSP of Etah. Saurabh Dixit has been posted as SP Shahjahanpur, Lakhan Singh Yadav as SP Amroha, and Vinay Singh as SP Jalaun.
In the state capital Lucknow, Dr. Diksha Sharma has been appointed as DCP in the commissionerate. Shakti Mohan Awasthy has been posted as SP Maharajganj, while Akash Patel and Satya Narayan Prajapati have been assigned to Chandauli and Kaushambi respectively.
The state government has directed all transferred officers to take charge at their new postings with immediate effect. The large-scale reshuffle is seen as an effort to strengthen law and order and improve administrative efficiency across the state.
