New Delhi: The prices of gold and silver saw slight changes in the domestic market on Thursday morning, driven by both local demand and global geopolitical uncertainty, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

According to the GoodReturns website, ten grams of 24-carat gold is now priced at Rs 1,00,920, marking a modest increase of Rs 10 from the previous rate. On the other hand, 22-carat gold saw a small drop of Rs 10, with the price for ten grams now at Rs 92,510.

Gold Prices In Key Cities

In key cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, the price of ten grams of 24-carat gold stood steady at Rs 1,00,920. Meanwhile, in Delhi, the price was slightly higher at Rs 1,01,070. For 22-carat gold, the rate was Rs 92,510 in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengalurum Chennai, and Hyderabad, while Delhi saw a slight increase at Rs 92,660 per ten grams.

Global Market

If talk about international market, spot gold rose by 0.3%, trading at $3,378.86 per ounce in early hours of Thursday (0033 GMT). However, US gold futures fell by 0.4% to $3,395.80 as investors reacted to mixed signals from the US Federal Reserve. While the Fed kept interest rates unchanged, it signaled a slower pace of future rate cuts, causing some uncertainty among traders.

Geopolitical Tensions

Tensions in the Middle East are also adding to the safe-haven demand for gold. US President Donald Trump avoided confirming if the US would support Israel’s military actions against Iranian sites. The situation led to panic in Tehran, with many residents reportedly leaving the city due to ongoing air strikes.

Other Precious Metals

Other metals showed mixed trends:

Spot silver remained stable at $36.75 per ounce.

Platinum gained 1%, trading at $1,335.93.

Palladium rose 0.6% to reach $1,054.40.

Both domestic and international gold prices are showing small shifts as markets react to economic signals and global unrest. While Indian buyers may see minor day-to-day changes, the bigger movements may depend on how global events and monetary policies unfold in the coming weeks.
