New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2026 on February 1 at 11:00 am, marking her ninth consecutive budget presentation and a rare Sunday address in Parliament. The speech will outline the government’s fiscal roadmap for the 2026-27 financial year and is expected to focus on growth, tax reforms, infrastructure push, and long-term development goals.
The Budget will be presented at 11:00 am, continuing the tradition followed since 2017, when the government shifted the timing from the colonial-era 5:00 pm slot to better align with market hours and the April 1 start of the fiscal year. The change also allows Parliament to complete budgetary approvals by the end of March.
