New Delhi: Following an attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a public hearing named 'Jan Sunvai' at her Camp Office in Civil Lines on Wednesday, the Centre has provided Z-category security cover of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to her, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The man accused of attacking Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been sent to five days of police custody.
The accused, Sakriya Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai was produced at the house of a magistrate in Dwarka late at night.
Police has registered a case against the accused, a resident of Rajkot in Gujarat under Section 109(1) (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
