Nagpur Horror: Drugged, Raped and Blackmailed…IAF officer’s wife forced for conversion

A 24-year-old woman married to an Indian Air Force officer has alleged that she was drugged, raped, blackmailed using obscene videos and later forced to convert to another religion.

Nagpur: A 24-year-old woman married to an Indian Air Force officer has alleged that she was drugged, raped, blackmailed using obscene videos and later forced to convert to another religion. Based on her complaint, Nagpur Police have registered an FIR and arrested two accused, while the main accused remains absconding.

The case has been registered at Sonegaon Police Station and is currently under investigation.

Two Arrested, Main Accused on the Run

According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Ayyaz Taj Madare, a resident of Kalmeshwar, and Amin Sheikh. The third accused, identified as Hazrat Maulana from Tamia in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district, is currently absconding.

A police team has been dispatched to Madhya Pradesh to trace and arrest the accused.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Singa Reddy Rushikesh said police acted promptly after receiving the complaint, registered an FIR and seized digital evidence, including mobile phones, for examination.

Childhood Acquaintance Reconnected Through Social Media

According to investigators, the complainant and the main accused had known each other since childhood and belonged to the same village. After the woman's marriage in 2024, they allegedly reconnected through Instagram.

The woman alleged that in February 2025, the accused contacted her on the pretext of discussing a property deal and called her to a hotel in Nagpur.

Drugged, Raped and Blackmailed, Woman Alleges

In her complaint, the woman alleged that the accused mixed an intoxicating substance in her drink, following which she lost consciousness.

She claimed that she was sexually assaulted while unconscious and that videos and photographs were recorded without her consent. According to the complaint, these materials were later used to blackmail and pressure her.

Police Inspector Rahul Tasare confirmed that the complaint was filed on June 13 and that further investigation is underway.

Forced Conversion Allegations Under Probe

The complainant has also alleged that she was subjected to pressure to convert her religion and enter into a relationship against her wishes.

Police have invoked provisions of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act as part of the investigation.

The woman has reportedly submitted a video to investigators, claiming that rituals resembling black magic were performed on her. The video and other digital evidence are being examined for forensic verification.

Allegations of Forced Nikah and Religious Rituals

According to the complaint, the woman was allegedly taken to Tamia in Madhya Pradesh, where a Maulana recited the Kalma and conducted a Nikah ceremony without her consent.

She further alleged that she was forced to participate in religious rituals and was served beef after the alleged conversion and marriage ceremony.

Police said all allegations are being thoroughly investigated and evidence is being verified.

Investigation Continues

Officials have stated that the investigation remains ongoing and that all aspects of the complaint, including the alleged events in Nagpur and Madhya Pradesh, are being examined.

Police have urged the public not to draw conclusions until the investigation is completed.
