Goa Nightclub Horror: Luthras in Thai Police custody; Process for extradition to India intensifies

New Delhi: Both the brothers, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa, have been taken into custody by Police in Thailand. The preparations for their extradition to India have been intensified. After the incident, the two brothers fled from Delhi to Phuket, Thailand.

Earlier, the police had suspended the passports of the Luthra brothers. The fire at the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub in Goa claimed the lives of 25 people, including 20 staff members and 5 tourists.

AS soon as the fire in the Club raged and rescue operations were underway, the Luthra brothers had made up their mind to flee the country. Therefore they booked tickets to Thailand and fled the country by flight from Delhi.

The Luthra brothers are facing charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and negligence.
