Gujarat: Three held in Ahmedabad for alleged plot to carry out terror strikes across the country

An ATS spokesperson said that the trio was arrested while supplying weapons and was allegedly planning to carry out terrorist attacks in various parts of the country. Two of the arrested accused are from Uttar Pradesh, while the third one is from Andhra Pradesh.

Ahmedabad: Three suspects were arrested here in Ahmedabad for allegedly plotting a terrorist attack in various part of the country. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested the suspected terrorists while supplying weapons for the attacks.

The accused who had been under surveillance for quite some time. Early investigations revealed that they were allegedly linked to a major terror plot.

An ATS spokesperson said that the trio was arrested while supplying weapons and was allegedly planning to carry out terrorist attacks in various parts of the country.

In an official statement, the ATS said, “Three suspects have been arrested by the Gujarat ATS. They had been on the Gujarat ATS’s radar for the past year. All three were arrested while supplying weapons. They were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in various parts of the country.”

Two of the arrested accused are from Uttar Pradesh, while the third one is from Andhra Pradesh.
