UP voters, take note! A new mobile-enabled process lets you add your name to the electoral roll quickly. What are the steps, and how can you ensure your inclusion before the draft list is finalized? Find out now.
Guidelines issued for electoral forms
Lucknow: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Uttar Pradesh, Navdeep Rinwa, reviewed the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign across the state and instructed all district officials to ensure 100% distribution of electoral forms (Form 6, 7, and 8) by November 15, 2025.
Rinwa emphasized timely payment of allowances to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and warned of strict action against any negligence during the campaign.
Rinwa directed district election officers to ensure that all BLOs download the advanced version 8.7 of the BLO mobile application from the Play Store. All voters receiving electoral forms must be marked on the app to update the distribution progress online.

Additionally, voters can visit the official portal voters.eci.gov.in and fill out their forms directly using their mobile numbers, making the process more convenient and transparent.
The CEO stressed that the process of adding or removing names from the voter list must be fully transparent. No ineligible person should be included, and all eligible citizens should have their names in the list.
To enhance accessibility, voters can use the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ facility to contact their assigned BLO. BLOs are expected to respond and resolve requests within 48 hours, ensuring smooth and timely inclusion of voters in the draft list.
Rinwa highlighted that districts such as Prayagraj, Meerut, Hardoi, Bahraich, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Agra, Unnao, Badaun, Banda, and Hapur, where distribution is progressing slowly, need to accelerate their efforts. District contact centers are operational to make calls during working days and help voters complete their forms efficiently.

Navdeep Rinwa personally filled out his electoral form to encourage voter participation. He urged all voters to carefully complete their forms, sign them, and return them to their respective BLOs on time. Signed forms will be included in the upcoming draft voter list. The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on February 7, 2026.
With mobile-enabled registration, the ‘Book a Call’ facility, and close monitoring by the CEO, Uttar Pradesh is taking robust steps to ensure every eligible citizen is included in the voter list ahead of upcoming elections.
