Mumbai: New revelations are emerging daily in the RA Studio kidnapping case in Powai, Mumbai. Accused Rohit Arya, who held 19 people, including 17 children, had planned the entire crime two days in advance.
Now, the testimony of an 11-year-old boy, Prince Tiwari, who did not go to the studio that day, has come to light. His statements have provided the police with several crucial details regarding the incident.
Mumbai RA Studio Hostage Crisis: Accused Rohit Arya dies in police encounter
11-year-old Prince Tiwari said that on October 28th, Rohit Arya and his partner, Rohan Ahir, had rehearsed a 'kidnapping show' with the children.
Prince said, "That day, we were called for an acting session. Rohit sir said it was a kidnapping show, and we had to act scared and cry. All the parents were also present."
This statement clearly indicates that Rohit had conducted a trial before the October 30th incident.
Prince's father, Umesh Tiwari, explained that he owns a small dhaba in Powai, where Rohit Arya and Rohan Ahir often came for tea and snacks.
He said, "They both said they make films and need some children. We auditioned 12 children, and my son, Prince, was selected."
Umesh explained that Prince was supposed to go to RA Studios on October 30th, but he didn't go because he was in the exit group and that was his fate.
Umesh Tiwari stated that he was present outside RA Studios that day. He noticed children peeping through the window and something seemed amiss.
When he asked the production team, they said, "Shooting was going on inside."
Umesh said, "I became suspicious, so I went in through the back door. As soon as I opened the window, Rohit Arya pointed a gun at me and said, 'Get out of here.'"

Umesh immediately came out and called 100. The police arrived at the scene within minutes. Police initially tried to calm Rohit down, but he refused to listen.
After about two and a half hours of negotiations, the police entered the studio through the bathroom. A short exchange of fire ensued, and Rohit Arya was killed in the encounter.
Police are now trying to determine Rohit Arya's true motives and whether anyone else was involved. At present, all the children and their families are safe, but this incident has raised a big question on the illegal activities taking place in the Mumbai film industry under the guise of auditions.
