Wife stabs husband over TV volume; eight-month-old marriage ends in tragedy in Andhra Pradesh

A minor argument over TV volume turned fatal in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh, when a 27-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by his wife. Despite being rushed to hospital, he succumbed to injuries. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.

Andhra Pradesh: A minor dispute between a couple who got married eight months ago, Sheikh Ahmed (27) and his wife Kranthi (25), who were residing in the TIDCO housing complex in Mangalagiri, turned fatal.

Argument Over TV Volume

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident happened on the night of 18th February. Ahmed reportedly asked his wife to lower the TV volume as it was too loud. This led to a heated argument between the couple.

Alleged Stabbing and Hospitalization

In a fit of anger, Kranthi allegedly stabbed her husband with a knife available in the house. Neighbours rushed him to a local hospital, and he was later shifted to a government hospital. Finally, doctors confirmed Ahmed’s death.

Police Investigation Underway

The incident has created a sensation locally, as the couple had married for love just a year ago. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter based on a complaint by Ahmed's mother, Shaik Mohabhee, said Circle Inspector Krishna.
