PM Modi said that the people of Bihar have voted for a developed and prosperous Bihar. He also said that the era of the 'Katta Sarkar' will not return.
Referring to the opposition's 'MY' appeasement formula, PM Modi said that today in Bihar, it has a new meaning in the form of women and youth. He said that the aspirations of youth and women have completely destroyed the old MY formula. Bihar has the highest number of youth, and people from every religion and caste are included in it.

The results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections in the Chhapra constituency have reached a highly interesting and emotional turn, where RJD candidate and Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav, after initially leading in the trends, is now trailing. By the end of 13 rounds of counting, BJP's Chhoti Kumari had already taken a lead of 7,739 votes. Seeing the growing gap, Khesari Lal Yadav became visibly emotional and left the counting hall mid-counting. Khesari said, "People are good, I will always be with them."

Responding to the election results via tweet, PM Modi said, "This is a victory for the spirit of social justice and public welfare. The 2025 Bihar Assembly elections are not living up to expectations for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) like in previous years. The party appears headed for its worst performance this time. Tejashwi Yadav may not only abandon his dream of becoming Chief Minister, but also face difficulties in securing the post of Leader of the Opposition.
According to the latest trends, the RJD is leading in only 24-25 seats. A minimum of 25 MLAs are required to become the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly. This means the RJD needs to win 25 seats to secure the post of Leader of the Opposition on its own. If the party remains stuck at 24 seats, Tejashwi Yadav and the RJD will not be able to secure the post.
The results of the Bihar Assembly elections are due shortly. Trends indicate that the NDA is poised to once again capture power in Bihar by winning over 200 seats.
This time, the BJP appears to be winning with a record number of seats.
The equations emerging based on the trends are both interesting and surprising. The BJP is poised to become the largest party in the state.
If current trends are considered a baseline, and if these trends hold, the BJP could form government in the state even without JDU. This means the BJP will not need Nitish Kumar to form a government.
It can form a government by excluding JDU and joining forces with other NDA allies.
