Celina Jaitly accuses her husband of domestic violence
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Austrian entrepreneur and hotel owner Peter Haag, in a Mumbai court. The complaint, which accuses Peter Haag of domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation, was presented to Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) S.C. Tadya in Andheri for verification. The court subsequently issued a notice to Haag and set a hearing for December 12.
Celina made these serious allegations:
The 47-year-old actor claimed that her husband subjected her to severe emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse, forcing her to leave her home in Austria and return to India. The petition states, "The Respondent (Haag) is a narcissistic, self-absorbed individual. He has a short temper and a drinking habit, which has caused constant stress to the Applicant (Jaitley)."
Divorcing after 15 years
Celina and Peter Haag married in Austria in 2011. In March 2012, the couple became parents to twin sons. In 2017, Celina again gave birth to twin sons, one of whom tragically died due to a hypoplastic heart condition. Celina, known for her roles in films like No Entry, Apna Sapna Money Money, Money Hai To Honey Hai, Golmaal Returns, and Thank You, has recently been in the news for legal action related to her family.
The petition further states that Haag filed for divorce in an Austrian court in August this year. Jaitley has demanded that her estranged husband be directed to pay her Rs50 crore as compensation and ₹10 lakh per month as maintenance.
Last month, Celina Jaitley approached a Delhi court seeking help for her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitley, alleging that he had been "illegally kidnapped and detained" in the United Arab Emirates. She shared a post on social media with a lengthy note, saying, "This is no longer personal; it has become a matter of national security."
