New Delhi: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has changed her stance on Gen Z after facing criticism over her earlier remarks about young protesters. Speaking outside Parliament, Ranaut praised the younger generation and called Gen Z the “biggest strength” of the country.

Her fresh comments came days after controversy erupted over her remarks on the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, where she had criticised the behaviour of some protesters. The comments triggered backlash on social media, with many users accusing her of targeting an entire generation.

Kangana Says A Few Protesters Don’t Represent Entire Gen Z

Clarifying her position, Kangana Ranaut said that a small group of people involved in protests cannot represent the entire Gen Z population.

She said that it was incorrect to assume that only those who use abusive language or create disruptions represent the younger generation. According to her, millions of young Indians are contributing positively to the country in different fields.

Ranaut highlighted the achievements of students, athletes and young citizens, saying many youngsters have brought pride to the nation through their work and accomplishments.

‘Gen Z Is Our Biggest Strength,’ Says Kangana

Speaking to reporters, Kangana said that Gen Z has played an important role in shaping the country’s future. She also pointed out that the younger generation has supported various national initiatives and participated in nation-building activities.

She added that only a few individuals who create controversy should not be used to judge an entire generation.

Earlier Remarks Sparked Online Backlash

The controversy began after Kangana reacted to videos from a Jantar Mantar protest and criticised the conduct of some participants. Her remarks led to strong reactions online, with users sharing clips from her film roles while questioning her comments.

Ranaut later responded to the criticism, saying that fictional characters played by an actor should not be compared with real-life behaviour.
