Mumbai: Actor Mukul Dev passed away on Friday night. He was 54. Mukul was known for his work in Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian films. He also active in television serials, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Mukul was particularly known for working in films like Son of Sardar and Yamla Pagla Deewana.

Condolences Pour In

Mukul Dev passed away on Friday night. On Saturday morning, when his friends and other acquaintances came to know that the actor is no more in this world, condolences from all quarters started puring in.

Vindu Dara Singh took to social media and wrote,“Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev ! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing!”

Manoj Bajpayee has shared an emotional post on the demise of Mukul Dev and wrote that Mukul was like a brother, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. I pray for strength for his family and all those grieving this loss.

Manoj wrote on X, "It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Mukul Dev: Brief Profile

Mukul Dev was born on 17 September 1970 in New Delhi. He began his career in 1996 with the TV series Mumkin and made his film debut the same year in Dastak, starring alongside Sushmita Sen.

Mukul is known for his work in Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam films, as well as television.

Besides Mumkin, Mukul appeared in many other TV shows. His famous TV shows include Pyar Zindagi Hai, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kahin Diya Jale Kahin Jiya Naam.

Then he made his debut in films. His first film was Dastak in which he played the role of ACP Rohit Malhotra.

He worked in films like Qila, Wajood, Kohraam, Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao and Son of Sardar. Apart from this, he has also played the villain in R Rajkumar, Jai Ho.
