New Delhi: In a stirring celebration of India’s aerial heroes, Netflix unveiled the first look of its upcoming series 'Operation Safed Sagar' during the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25).
The event, dedicated to the spirit of service and sacrifice, brought together serving officers, veterans, dignitaries, and civilians in a shared moment of national pride. The teaser opens with actor Siddharth delivering a commanding line: “No squadron in the history of the Indian Air Force has ever done such a mission. We are the select chosen few.”
The scene then cuts to Squadron Leader Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill, joined by Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, and Taaruk Raina, as they stride toward their aircraft, a sequence that sets the tone for a story of courage, camaraderie, and sacrifice.
Created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, and directed by Oni Sen, the series revisits the Indian Air Force’s daring missions during the 1999 Kargil War.
Produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films with full support from the Indian Air Force, Operation Safed Sagar promises an authentic, adrenaline-charged portrayal of heroism, featuring real IAF bases, MiG aircraft, and trained personnel.

Co-creators Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Mehboob Pal Singh Brar said the project is rooted in grit, heart, and the human spirit, brought to life through Netflix’s global platform.
With its unmatched scale, real-life resonance, and emotional depth, Operation Safed Sagar is set to mark a milestone in Indian military storytelling.
The series will stream globally on Netflix in 2026, spotlighting one of India’s most defining moments of aerial courage.
