Jaipur: World Brain Tumor Day is observed every year on 8 June. This day is being celebrated to make people aware of the serious disease, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Every year 40 to 50 thousand new cases of brain tumor are reported in the country and about 60 percent of these are primary tumors which originate in the brain itself.

On the occasion of World Brain Tumor Day, Neuro Oncosurgeon Dr Deepak Wangani of Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Jaipur said that 40 percent of brain tumor cases are secondary tumors which spread to the brain from other parts of the body.

He said that it is very important to spread awareness about brain tumor in the society and timely identification and treatment by modern neurosurgery can not only save the life of the patient but also improve his quality of life.

  3. Blurred vision
  4. Irritability
  5. Difficulty walking
  6. Seizures
  7. Difficulty speaking
  8. Difficulty maintaining balance
  9. Forgetting things repeatedly

Tips To Keep Brain Healthy

Get Proper Sleep

Brain also needs rest, so that it can store memories. While sleeping brain removes toxins. So, if you stay awake till late night, then your brain also remains active. Doctors also recommends to take seven to eight hours of sleep. You can also take short naps during the day. This will also give rest to your brain.
