India and Israel signed multiple agreements in education, artificial intelligence, cyber security, agriculture and advanced technologies following delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Modi-Netanyahu Talks Boost Strategic and Tech Partnership
Jerusalem: Following delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, India and Israel signed several important MoUs (Memorandum of Understandings) in areas such as education, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, agriculture, and technology. PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Tel Aviv, and this trip is being described as historic for the relationship between the two countries.
At the joint press conference, Netanyahu stated that the future belongs to countries that innovate. He emphasized the use of AI and software in the education sector, saying that it is now possible to reach every student and unleash their potential. The two countries have decided to strengthen partnerships in emerging technologies- such as AI, quantum technology, and critical minerals.
PM Modi announced that India and Israel will soon finalize a Free Trade Agreement. He also stated that an agreement has been reached for the use of UPI in Israel, which will give new impetus to digital payment cooperation. In addition, joint projects in civil nuclear energy, space, and agricultural technology will be pursued. The two countries will jointly develop future-ready agricultural solutions.
Netanyahu proposed holding a G2G (Government-to-Government) meeting in India. PM Modi stated that the relationship between the two countries has been elevated to a "Special Strategic Partnership," reflecting mutual trust and shared interests. He stated that Israeli technology will be delivered to every village in India.

Both leaders reiterated their strong stance against terrorism. PM Modi stated that terrorism will not be tolerated at any cost. Peace and stability in West Asia were described as being in the interests of both countries and the Gaza peace process was supported.
This visit is considered an important step towards elevating India-Israel relations to new heights at the economic, technological, and strategic levels.
