Islamabad: A Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad on Wednesday, killing all personnel on board. The accident occurred moments after the aircraft took off, according to Pakistan military officials.
The tragedy has prompted an immediate response from rescue teams and triggered a formal investigation into the cause of the crash.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan’s military, confirmed that there were no survivors. Officials stated that all personnel aboard the helicopter lost their lives in the incident.
Following reports of the crash, emergency and recovery teams were dispatched to the site. Authorities carried out rescue and recovery operations while securing the area for further examination.

Pakistan Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed grief over the loss of military personnel and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to those who died in the crash, describing them as brave sons of the nation. He offered prayers for the departed and expressed solidarity with their families during this difficult time.
The crash has once again highlighted the risks faced by military personnel during operational duties.
